Description

Ryoko spots someone in a crowd, and by his reaction, it’s not just anyone. He tells Tsugigi to stay put, and follows after the person. It turns out the person is Hibiki, an old friend of Ryoko’s who’s being used by Matsurika. Once Matsurika gets a hold of something, she never lets it go – and her next target is Tsugiri, because Roshoki needs him. We find out that the contract between Ryoko and Myobi is the same as between Hibiki and Matsurika; but for some reason Ryoko has a free will, but Hibiki doesn’t. We also find out that Ryoko once loved Matsurika. There is a flashback to when Ryoko and Hibiki were still friends, and Ryoko first met Myobi. Myobi had just shown up one say, saying that she came to “become one with” Ryoko. But, Ryoko had already decided to leave the city he was living in. Before he leaves, Ryoko thinks to himself about how all of his family, and any friends he makes, always seem to die. The night before Ryoko leaves, Hibiki’s girlfriend Amiya confesses that it’s not Hibiki she likes, but Ryoko. She begs Ryoko to take her with him. It turns out that this Amiya was a fake, and she’s tricked both Ryoko and Hibiki. Back in the present time, Ryoko must fight his old friend Hibiki, and Matsurika, to try to free Hibiki from Matsurika’s control.
