Een Manga is een grafische novelle gemaakt in Japan conform een beeldstijl die eind 19de eeuw is ontstaan. Kenmerken hiervan zijn mooie, sprekende ogen, dynamische camera-punten, en het gebruik van spectaculaire beeld-lijnen en effecten. Google is your best friend!

{slider Is een manga niet gewoon een strip of comic?}

NEE, strips en comics zijn over het algemeen gericht op kinderen. Een manga of grafische novelle  onderscheidt zich van strips en comics door een veelal literaire inslag met uitgebreide en ingewikkelde verhaallijnen en is gewoonlijk bedoeld voor volwassenen ( of jong-volwassennen).

{slider Is Manga geschikt voor mijn kind?}

Wettelijk gezien is er GEEN minimale leeftijd of “kijkwijzer” voor boeken. Voor anime wel, we adviseren om bij de Genre’s voor de Anime om te kijken of “Adult” erbij staat, hierin staat alles wat echt boven de 16 Jaar verkocht moet worden. We verkopen online geen erotische artikelen, enkel in de fysieke winkel en in een afgeschermd gedeelte van de winkel.

Uiteraard zet de uitgever van een boek een adviesleeftijd en genre op de achterkant, dit is een indicatie, en geen verplichting. Echter wegen we wel af, dat sommige ouders zich zorgen kunnen maken als hun kind een titel kiest met geweld of seksuele uitingen, zoals bij yaoi  (een genre waarin de hoofdpersonen homosexueel zijn) hier kiezen we voor een minimale leeftijd van 16 jaar. {slider Koopt Special Edition uw manga’s?}

Ja, we kopen inderdaad manga’s van consumenten op. Maar het gaat dan vaak om grotere hoeveelheden of zeldzamere titels. Onze tweedehands prijzen liggen rond de € 5,- dus u begrijpt dat wij minder dan dat bieden. Hoeveel? Stuur een mailtje met titels en hoeveelheid en wij doen een bod op uw collectie.

Gefeliciteerd, wij hebben inderdaad een zeer leuke lounge in de winkel die je vast gezien hebt. Bel of kom even langs en vertel wat je wilt doen en hoe laat je feestje begint. We hebben een paar regels die we eerst moeten kortsluiten. Afhankelijk wat je precies wilt doen kunnen we de kosten inschatten. Geen zorgen, we vragen niet veel. Voor bijna elk budget kunnen we een leuk feestje neerzetten.

Ja, maar dan moet u bellen naar 078-7852378 en doorgeven wat u wilt hebben en dan leggen we het klaar. Eerder konden mensen gewoon online iets bestellen en op de knop “Ophalen” drukken. Helaas werd hier teveel misbruik van gemaakt, daarom komt bij ons de bestelling pas binnen als de betaling succesvol voldaan is. Met onze ruime openingstijden kunt u altijd bellen en kunnen we u gemakkelijk helpen. 

{slider Wat is cosplay?}

Cosplay is een vorm van performance art waarbij de deelnemers gebruikmaken van kostuums en accessoires om een bepaald personage of idee uit te beelden. In de ruimere zin van het woord verwijst cosplay naar alle gekostumeerde rollenspellen buiten het podium om, ongeacht de culturele context.

De favoriete bronnen voor cosplay zijn beroemdheden en characters uit manga, anime, games en films. Elke entiteit uit zowel in de  echte wereld als uit de virtuele wereld kan gebruikt worden als onderwerp. Zelfs levenloze objecten, of dieren kunnen antropomorphische vormen aannemen. Het is ook zeer gebruikelijk om de geslachten verwisseld te zien waarbij de vrouwen mannenrollen spelen en vice versa.

Je kunt alles worden en jezelf totaal transformeren in wat je wilt, de uitdaging is om het idee zo goed mogelijk te kunnen overbrengen op het publiek.

Outside of Japan, the word is typically used to refer to comics with a manga-like aesthetics such as big eyes, black/white, irregular panels, typical caricatures etc. Internet is your best friend!

It’s possible to pay in several different ways.

1. Just transfer the money to our bank account. It does take some effort. You need to transfer us the money and at the discription write down your order number. According to the law after you order we must send it to you immediately and you have 30 days to pay us. We do expect you to pay as soon as you can because we do not like waiting. Money transfer takes up to a few days, it depends on the bank account you’re using.

2. We also have iDeal. You will be redirected to your own bank and you can pay in a secured environment. We automaticaly get a notice from iDeal that we got the payment. And we can directly send you your disired items. However for each iDeal transaction we ask €0,50 because we need to pay for this service. We hope you can understand.

3. We visit many conventions every year and if you order and want to pick it up yourself at a convention, you can pay us by cash. Pickup at a convention is 100% free, you only pay for the products, but the service is free of charge!

4. For ALL foreign payments we need a so called SEPA transaction. It is basically the same as just transferring money, but you need our international bankcode and BIC-number. These are discribed below:

Instead of ordering online, you can send us a message or make a phone-call to make sure your precious treaasures don’t get sold out before you visit us. Simply tell us what you want, and when you will visit us either at an event, or at our shop in Dordrecht. We will keep your product safe for one week. You don’t need to pay in advance, but if you do not pick it u[p, we will put the items back on the shelves for other customers.

OVERSEAS

We can ship worldwide. We have lots of options, but it depends on the carrier and the weight how much we charge. Contact us if you have questions.

1 General
 
1.1 Special Edition is based in Leiden on July 18, 2011 and is registered with the Chamber of Commerce, under number  53,167,554.
1.2 These terms and conditions apply to all offers of Special Edition.
1.3 Special Edtion guarantees that the product supplied meets the state offered specifications.
 
 
2 Delivery
 
2.1 Delivery takes place while stocks last. Products are removed from the website if they are no longer available.
2.2 On festivals or conventions the stock mentioned on the website may not be up to date. If the buyer still has ordered a out of stock product we will contact you as soon as possible and offer you a fit solution.
2.3 All terms mentioned are indicative. No rights can be founded.
2.4 We deliver products via PostNL for small quantities. We ship larger quantities (parcels) via DHL, while VAT is calculated.
 
 
3 Prices
 
3.1 Prices will not be raised during the course of an offer.
3.2 All prices on the site are subject to misprints. For the consequences of misprints no liability is accepted.
3.3 All prices on the site are in Euros and inclusive of 6% VAT for books / manga and 21% for all other products.
3.4 Prices of used good have a different VAT value.
 
 
4. Term / right of withdrawal
 
4.1 Within 7 days after delivery you the goods (or part thereof) to return without reason after a notification to info@special–edition.nl
Return should be done in the original package, in the original condition in which the goods are delivered. If it appears that the goods have been used or damaged, the right of rescission expires. Special Edition will be within 30 days of receipt of the goods, the purchase price including the shipping refund to you. Shipping costs of the return of goods is entirely at the expense of the buyer.
4.2 Return rights does not apply to products that can not be returned for example by both hygiene and sealed products whose seal is broken.
 
5. Data
 
5.1 When you place an order with Special Edition, your information may be included in the customer database of Special Edition. Special Edition adheres to the “Persoonsregisteraties” Act and will not provide your information to third parties.
5.2 Special Edition respects the privacy of the users of the website and ensures confidentiality of your personal information.
5.3 Special Edition sometimes makes use of a mailing list. Each mailing includes instructions to remove. Yourself from this list
 
 
6. Guarantees
 
6.1 Special Edition ensures that the products supplied by the company comply with the requirements of usability and reliability. And we stand for the manufacturer of the product delivered to you.
6.2 The buyer is obliged to check the delivered products. Immediately upon receipt If it appears that the wrong goods, inadequate or incomplete been delivered, you must notify Special Edition via info@special–edition.nl this immediately. Return should be done in an appropriate container, in the original condition in which the products have been sent to you.
6.3 If the complaint is justified, the product will be replaced free of charge, or refund the purchase price will be refunded to your account.
6.4 Special Edition is not responsible for any other form of damage or consequential damage.
 
 
7 Offers
 
7.1 Offers are not binding, unless otherwise stated in the offer.
7.2 Oral agreements commit Special Edition only he has confirmed them in writing.

10.1 Special Edition is not liable if she can not be fulfilled due to force majeure.
10.2 Force majeure means anything strange reason does not belong to the risk of Special Edition.

11 Liability.

12 Retention of title.

13 Applicable law / jurisdiction
 
13.1 All agreements are subject to Dutch law.
